SUMMARY ABOUT ME
Shri Rakesh Gullaiya was born in 05 May 1971 in a Respectable Family in the Historical Village of Chirag Delhi located in New Delhi. His father- Sh. Kanwar Chand is retired from BSES and Mother- Smt. Vir Wati is a housewife. Sh. Gullaiya and his family is active member of Bhartiya Janta Party and Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh. He is always dedicated in social work.
In his early carrer, he joined business but,very soon, got inspired by RSS
Sh.Gullaiya started his political carrier as a social worker in RSS in 1989. He joined BJP in 1991 as an active worker in his constituency. In 1996 he was nominated as a BJP youth president of Malviya Nagar Mandal after that elected for General Secretary in Malviya Nagar Mandal from 1998-2007. He was appointed as election in-charge for Lok sabha election in 1996 and 1998. While in-charge of the Steering Committee, he took over important responsibility from Malviya Nagar Mandal in 1999 Lok Sabha Election, 2002 Corporation Election, 2003 and 2008 Vidhan Sabha Election, 2009 Lok Sabha Election, and 2012 Corporation Election. He took charge of election management on behalf of New Delhi district from Chirag Delhi Mandal, Shahpur Jat Mandal and C.R Park Mandal in Lok Sabha Elections 2014.
He also got the opportunity to get Councillor ticket from BJP in 2007 and he won election by a huge margin of votes. He actively tried his best to abolish social evil from the society during his period. Rakesh Gullaiya played very important role for the development of his ward Chirag Delhi in Greater Kailash Vidhan Sabha with all the modern facilities.
In fact, the entire development in Chirag Delhi was carried out under him. He gave this constitution a new shape.
These traditional Indian values are followed & inherited by Gullaiya. His wife smt. Sunita Gullaiya also won election in 2012 from Chirag Delhi ward. He was also Chairman of Community Services Department in 2009-10, Environmental management committee in 2010-12. In 2015 he was given a chance by party for Delhi Vidhan Sabha Election from Greater Kailash constituency but unfortunately he lost election by a very low margin. Currently he is Booth Prabandhak of New Delhi Zila (2017-2019).
Blessing of parents, well wishers, and his positive thinking are the inspiring source of his success. He always like the people who are emotionally hatched with him. He also tried his best to give his 100% and fulfill his expectation. These things make him much more stronger and he never feel Physically tired but on the other hand he always feel mentally satisfied by doing noble duty for social cause.
He founded the “Chirag Youth Club Committee” and with his cooperation has organized various religious and social programs such as Dussehra, Holi Milan, Diwali Milan, Chhath Puja, Hariyali Teej, Hindu Nav Varsh, Sports Activities and Health Campaign etc.
He is also founder of “Shri Dharmik Ramlila Dakshin Delhi” and on behalf of this Committee he has organized Ramlila Manchan and Mela at Chirag Delhi New Delhi, by professional artist every year for religious awareness in socity. He is a very religious man by nature and believes in doing a lot of religious work. As an active member of BJP he is always available to listen and redress the grievances of the people of the area.
He has great commitment to organize Dussehra and Ramlila every year.This a huge success in Chirag Delhi and adjoining areas as lakh of people and dignitaries visit Chirag Delhi in this programme.This a sort of arrival cultural programme that corrects entire Chirag Delhi and South Delhi at large.
